Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we will unfortunately NOT be having an apple sale this year (August, 2020). We WILL, however, have cherry sales BY APPOINTMENT ONLY, beginning in August. Where are you located? We are at 3200 Rabbit Creek Road in South Anchorage, Alaska. For a map, please visit our contact page.
When are you open for picking? Our You-Pick dates vary from year-to-year and are based on the ripeness of the apples. We typically open from 10 am to 2 pm on one or two Saturdays in late August through mid September. Visit our picking dates page for more information. Cherry picking is by appointment only in August. Please email us in early August for an appointment at wildsalmon@alaskalife.net.
How much does it cost? We sell our fruit by the pound – $2 per pound for any variety of apple and our pie cherries are $4 per pound and sweet cherries are $5 per pound.
What varieties of apples do you grow? We have over 200 apple trees and 20 different varieties of apples and we also grow cherries. New varieties are being planted every year. Visit our post about “Apples- Varieties and Tastes” for more details.
Are your apples organically grown? We can proudly say our fruit is grown only with rain and sunshine.
Should I bring my own bag? We have bags available at the orchard, or you can bring your own bag, box or container to carry your apples.
